An art exhibition takes place in Devon today showcasing the work of Ukrainian children aged eight to sixteen - many of them displaced by the war from cities which are placed at the front line.

The free event aims to support the work of the young artists and the Ukrainian School “Berehynia” at 19 North Street, Exeter.

Olya Petrakova from the Devon Ukrainian Association said: "These works speak honestly and powerfully about home, identity, memory, and resilience.

"Each drawing is a heartfelt reflection of how young Ukrainians see the world around them today.

"The event will also include a live online link-up between Ukrainian children in the UK and their peers in Ukraine — sharing their voices and art across borders.

"We would be delighted if you could join us — and even more so if you bring along your British friends. This event is a cultural bridge between our communities, told through the eyes and colours of children.
