Chance to help shape how Plymouth develops in future
The new local plans looks at housing and green spaces
There's a chance to shape a new plan for Plymouth, which will become the blueprint for development for years to come.
Councillor John Stephens, Cabinet Member for Strategic Planning and Transport, said: “I can’t stress enough how important the Plymouth Local Plan is.
"It will shape everything from where homes are built, where we should have green and open spaces and the direction the city should take.
“This is your city and this is your chance to get involved in its future. We are at the start of the Local Plan process and genuinely want to know what is important to you.”
He said: "The plan looks at the big questions such as where should we build new homes, what infrastructure should we have, have we got enough employment land as well as how do we make sure we protect our amazing environment for future generations?
"Once adopted the Local Plan will set out a vision for the city’s future and how land will be used, developed or protected. It will also identify priorities for the city including housing, employment, infrastructure, design and environmental standards we want to see to shape the city."
