Residents in the Chagford area are advised to continue boiling tap water before consumption, following repairs to a burst water main.

Although a temporary solution is in place and water supply has been restored, South West Water says water quality checks are ongoing.

A bottled water station has been set up at Chagford Primary School, located at 1 Lamb Park, Chagford, TQ13 8DN.

It is accessible from 06:00 to 22:00 each day.

Water deliveries are being made to customers on the Priority Services Register.

A recycling facility for empty plastic bottles is also available at the school.

As a precaution, all tap water intended for drinking, food preparation, or brushing teeth should be boiled before use.

The Boil Water Notice will remain until further notice.

Meanwhile, mains water is safe for washing, bathing, laundry, and flushing toilets.

Residents can verify if they are affected by using the postcode checker on the company's site.

Compensation will be distributed in line with the Customer Promise and South West Water says updates will be provided as the situation progresses.
