Another bird flu outbreak in Devon

Officials have confirmed new cases of bird flu found in poultry in Devon

The government have confirmed avian influenza has been found on Friday at premises near Braunton, North Devon, Devon.

A 3km captive bird (monitoring) controlled zone has been declared surrounding the premises.

The affected birds on the premises will be humanely culled.

This is the seventh report of bird flu in Devon, with two disease control zones already in place in Tedburn St Mary and Newton St Cyres since April.

The government confirmed a total of 106 bird flu cases have been recorded in England since the beginning of 2022.
