Police appeal following assault in Plymouth

A man in his 50s sustained 'life changing' injuries at a property on Clarence Place last night

Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for information following a report of assault in Plymouth.

Police were called at 7.45pm on Tuesday 20 May to a property on Clarence Place where it was reported that a man had sustained serious injuries.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

"The victim, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital where he remains receiving treatment. His injuries are described as life-changing but are not believed to be life-threatening.

Detectives investigating are appealing for anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area of Clarence Place during Tuesday.

A scene guard was put in place and remains while the investigation is ongoing in the area.

Anyone who was in the area and may have dash-cam, doorbell or CCTV footage is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 791 of 20 May."
