Police appeal in transphobic abuse investigation on Devon train
Officers are eager to speak to witnesses
British Transport Police are seeking witnesses to a hate crime involving transphobic abuse on a train in Devon.
The incident occurred around 9 pm on Thursday, 20th August, when the victim boarded a train at Dawlish railway station.
A man and woman also boarded at the same time and directed a stream of transphobic comments at her before leaving the train at Teignmouth station.
Police believe another member of the public checked on the victim's welfare and that a group of teenagers may have overheard the abuse.
Officers are eager to speak to these witnesses.
