Appeal for information on distraction thefts in Devon

Police in Devon are appealing for the public's help in the identification of two individuals as a result of distraction thefts.

Police are seeking the public’s help identifying these two individuals following reports of a number of distraction thefts in Devon.

This follows reports from the 22 January, that a male and a female approached elderly shoppers in Sainsbury’s Alphington, Sainsbury’s Pinhoe and Tesco Exmouth.

The thefts occurred while on of the individuals engaged with the victims by making conversation, while the other stole their purse from the trolley or handbag.

The police say that the two are though to have been travelling in a silver BMW 3 or M3 Series.
