Diversions and road closures for Devon road improvements
It’s as work continues on the A382
There are road closures and diversions in place on the A382 in Devon from Thursday 25th September.
It’s as work continues on a new carbon negative road, which aims to cut emissions, improve safety and tackle congestion in the area.
Devon county council say to carry out the works, the road at the Whitehills junction will be closed for 11 months.
After this, the Forches Cross will be closed for 12 months.
Other interventions will also be in place, including the re-programming of existing traffic lights, making Greycoat Lane one way, closing the Ringslade Road southbound and introducing traffic signals at the junction of Clay Lane/Clay Pits Way.
A Devon county council spokesperson said: "You will be able to get to all of the businesses in the area and Stover School will also be accessible for the duration of the work.
"Additional signs, directing you to businesses, will be included on the diversion routes.
"Two diversion routes will be in operation, via the A383 and B3193.
"The traffic levels on these diversion routes will be continually monitored to enable journey times to be displayed on 17 digital message signs to tell you which route is the quickest for your journey."
