Police investigate crash on St Pancras Avenue
Police are investigating a road traffic collision in Plymouth that resulted in a 13-year-old boy sustaining life-changing injuries.
The incident occurred just before 2pm on St Pancras Avenue, at the junction with Tintagel Crescent, when a red Volvo collided with the pedestrian on Monday, 31st August.
A man in his 40s from Plymouth has been arrested in connection with the collision.
He faces suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving, driving while unfit through drugs, among other offences.
He has been released on bail while officers continue their enquiries.
The road was closed for several hours while investigations at the scene were conducted, reopening at 7:30pm.
Authorities are appealing for witnesses who may have information or dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.
