A motorhome has been stolen in the latest in a series of thefts being probed by police in the Scottish Borders.

Batteries were also taken from a windfarm site on the Coldingham Moors, near to Drone Hill - about seven miles away - around the same time.

The last two thefts are believed to be linked, and police are keen to find a white Transit tipper, with a black caged flatbed to the rear, seen in the area at the time.

Constable Kris MacLeod said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed either theft to contact us.

“We’d also ask anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage which could assist our enquiries to come forward.

The occupants are believed to have then fled the area on foot.

The dramatic scenes unfolded just after 4am on Sunday, May 31st. Anyone with information is urged to contact Northumbria Police - quoting reference number: 26000364589.
