Disruption on Borders Railway as emergency services respond to incident

Train services on the Borders Railway are being disrupted this evening, as emergency services respond to an incident between Gorebridge and Stow.
ScotRail says its tickets are being accepted by Borders Buses between Edinburgh and Tweedbank.
According to real-time traffic information provider INRIX, services are at a standstill due to a trespass incident.
Passengers are being urged to check ahead before they travel.
In an update at 6pm, ScotRail announced: "Train services between Edinburgh and Tweedbank are returning to normal, but some services may still be cancelled, delayed or revised."
Meanwhile, the A7 will be closed near Bowland - just north of Galashiels - between 7pm tonight until 6am tomorrow for tree works.
The closure will be repeated on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week.
Further south, four weeks of roadworks are underway on the A7, just north of Hawick, as work continues on the entrance to Center Parcs’ new holiday village.
Lilliesleaf, Ashkirk and Midlem Community Council says it's already seen a "significant increase" in traffic using nearby side roads, and it's urging motorists to slow down.
"Many of these roads simply aren’t designed for fast-moving two-way traffic," a spokesperson pointed out. "There are narrow sections, limited visibility and, of course, pedestrians, cyclists, horse riders and children using these roads too.

"We’ve already seen some examples of motorists travelling at inappropriate speeds through the villages and along the rural roads. (On Saturday) afternoon, for example, a red car travelled through Lilliesleaf at considerable speed while children were nearby and a youngster was riding a pony.
"We completely understand that the roadworks are causing disruption and that motorists need to get where they’re going, but we’d really encourage people to slow down, be patient and remember that these are local roads through communities, rather than simply an alternative route around the works.
"A few extra minutes on a journey is a small price to pay for keeping everyone safe."
Elsewhere, the A703 is closed between Peebles and Leadburn following a crash. Police are advising motorists to avoid the area.
