Man taken to hospital following 'serious assault' in Hawick
Police have confirmed a man was taken to hospital following a report of a serious assault in Hawick.
Emergency services were called to an incident in the town's North Bridge Street around 2.30pm yesterday (Sunday).
Officers say enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.40pm on Sunday, officers received a report of a serious assault on North Bridge Street, Hawick.
“A man was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
