Two teenagers arrested following fire in Alnwick
Two teenagers have been arrested after a large building fire in the centre of Alnwick, which police are treating as arson.
Emergency services were called to a premises on Fenkle Street shortly after 9pm on Sunday, after members of the public reported a fire.
Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service sent five fire appliances to the incident, with crews working throughout the night as part of a multi-agency response.
Firefighters worked to prevent the flames spreading to adjoining buildings, while crews remained at the scene on Monday morning to damp down hotspots.
A spokesperson for Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service said: "Roads in Alnwick town centre remain closed with disruption likely to continue throughout the day."

Police have appealed for anyone who may have information that could help with the investigation to come forward.
A force spokesperson said: “Just after 9pm yesterday (Sunday), we received a report of a fire ongoing at a premises on Fenkle Street in Alnwick.
“Emergency services colleagues attended at the time, and they currently remain on scene.
“At the current time, the fire is being treated as arson and last night, two teenage boys were arrested in connection with the incident. They currently remain in police custody.”
