New police series Geordie Coppers begins this month

With hit shows like 24 Hours In Police Custody, Catching a Killer and Murder Case: The Digital Detectives, Channel 4 is no stranger to a ground-breaking police documentary, and now they are about to extend their portfolio.
Starting later this month, a new series called Geordie Coppers will follow Northumbria Police as they patrol the streets of Newcastle and surrounding areas.
Created by Candour, the production company behind shows like The Essex Millionaire Murder and The Dunblane Tapes, Geordie Coppers will give viewers an inside look at Newcastle's City Safe partnership and the work carried out by Northumbria Police, the NE1 Street Rangers and Newcastle City Council.
Candour said of the new series: "Our new C4 series Geordie Coppers starts on September 14 and shows what it takes to make Newcastle one of the best cities in the UK.
"We go behind the scenes with Newcastle’s City Safe Partnership, showing how Northumbria Police, the NE1 Street Rangers and Newcastle City Council work together to keep the city centre safe, bustling, and full of character."

The new series begins Monday 14th September at 10pm.
