Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was shot dead in Wolverhampton today.

Officers were called to Lilleshall Crescent, in the Graiseley area of the city, at around 12.15am today (25 October), to reports of a shooting.

Sadly, the man, aged 30, was pronounced dead a short time later.

Officers remain at the scene today to speak to witnesses and gather CCTV.

West Midlands Police have also set up a dedicated website where you can send dashcam, mobile phone footage, or any other information directly to investigators.

Ch Insp Richard Evans, of Wolverhampton Police, said: "Our thoughts are with the victim’s family today, and they will be getting all the support we can give them.

"We know that this will cause real concern and anxiety for people living nearby, and we will have extra officers in the area to offer reassurance and listen to their concerns."
