Teen killed following motorbike crash in Hemel Hempstead

A 17-year-old died after suffering serious injuries in a collision on Gaddesden Row

Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after a teenage motorbike rider was killed in Hemel Hempstead.

It happened on Gaddesden Row at around 3pm yesterday (16 January).

Three vehicles were involved, a motorbike and a Nissan van which were travelling in the direction of Jockey end, and a DAS gas truck travelling in the opposite direction.

The 17-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He sadly died in the early hours of this morning (17 January).

Detective Constable Lotty Lewis from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “If you witnessed the collision could you please contact the police with information.

“I’m particularly keen to speak to anyone with a dash cam and who was driving in the area at the time in case they recorded any important footage. If you captured anything, please upload this via herts.police.uk/dashcamupload."
