Six taken to hospital after blaze rips through Warrington home on Christmas Eve
An investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway
Six people were taken to hospital on Christmas Eve after a fire broke out in a terraced house in Warrington.
The fire started in the kitchen of a home on Fairbrother Crescent and quickly spread to the adjoining house through the roof space.
Seven people in total were affected by smoke, with paramedics treating them at the scene before taking six to hospital.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews used hose reel jets to tackle the fire, with six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus working across both houses.
Ventilation fans were brought in to help clear smoke from the buildings once the flames were put out.
An investigation is now underway into how the fire started.
