Police officer knocked over by e-bike... while responding to complaints about e-bikes

A South Wales police officer was rushed to hospital after being knocked over by an e-bike on Tuesday night... while responding to complaints about e-bikes.

The force said the officer was carrying out patrols part of a plain-clothes operation in response to community concerns about illegal and anti-social behaviour involving "high-powered electric bikes".

Fortunately, the officer was not left with any serious injuries.

A 25-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving without a licence and possession with intent to supply cannabis.

Police been seized several items as part of the investigation including bags of cannabis, approximately £700 cash, and a Sur-Ron bike.
