Man charged with attempted murder in Huddersfield

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting in Huddersfield.

Police said a firearms discharge was reported on Smiths Avenue in the Marsh area on 1 December.

The victim, in his 30s, was taken to hospital after being shot in the leg and shoulder.

Nathaniel Collins, 19, of St Pauls Road, Manningham has been remanded in custody to appear at Bradford Magistrates Court tomorrow (15 December).

Three other men who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released on bail while enquiries continue
