Man charged after man fatally stabbed in Vauxhall apartment block

Detectives investigating a fatal stabbing in Vauxhall have charged a man with murder.

35 year old Abdul Kareem Fawaz, of Bondway, in SW8 is accused of murder and possession of a knife.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 7 July.

Reports of a fight

An investigation was launched after police were called to a residential address at Bondway, SW8 following reports of an altercation early on the morning of Saturday 5th of July.

A 32 year old man was found with knife injuries and though he was treated by paramedics he died at the scene.

While formal identification awaits, police have named the victim as Daniel Manuel.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Daniel's next of kin have been made aware and are being supported by specialist officers.

Two men, aged 35 and 33, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.

Fawaz has been charged as above.

The 33-year-old has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
