Liverpool will play their first game today (13 July) since the tragic death of their player Diogo Jota.

The striker, and his brother Andre Silva, died in a car crash in Spain last week.

Since then, tributes have flooded in across the world - with Anfield covered in flowers, scarves, flags and heartfelt messages of condolence.

Those tributes will continue at Deepdale for the friendly against Preston North End - where fans are asked to be in their seats by 2:45pm.

Claudia-Rose Maguire, the wife of former Preston player Sean, will perform 'Can't Help Falling In Love', which will be followed by a rendition of 'You'll Never Walk Alone.'

There will be digital tributes on screens and LEDs, both sets of teams will wear black armbands, and a minute's silence will be held before the game begins.

Liverpool fan Courtney Neary, who is going to the game, said:

"It's somewhat nice that it's so close to home, the friendly, because they're able then to go home to their families and deal with it in whatever way they need to.

"I think these friendlies, up until the start of the season, and I think most of this season, is just going to see every single team that either comes to Anfield or that Liverpool go to, is just going to face some form of moment for Diogo.

"Whether that's the away fans singing his song, I've even seen some places where home teams are talking about singing his song.

"I think Sunday is going to be very emotional for the fans, but even more emotional for the players, and I just hope it helps them heal a little bit and realise the impact Diogo had."

Kick-off is at 3pm.
