The funeral for firefighter Jennie Logan, who tragically lost her life during the Bicester fire incident on 15th May, will be held this Saturday (14th June 2025).
Jennie, who was 30-years-old, died in the line of duty after a fire at the Bicester Motion business park which took the lives of three.
Firefighter Martyn Sadler and a member of the public, Dave Chester, also sadly died.
Two other firefighters were seriously injured, with one remaining in hospital.
Her funeral is set to be a full ceremonial fire service event, and will honour her bravery and service to the community.
The ceremonial event will start at 10am, with the cortege entering Queens Avenue from Banbury Road surrounded by firefighters and emergency service partners.
A minute's silence will be held outside Bicester Fire Station at around 10.15am, led by the officer in charge, Chief Fire Officer Rob MacDougall.
The procession will then continue along Queen's Avenue for a private funeral service.
A Bicester Fire service spokesperson said: "We invite you, our community, to support us and view Jennie’s procession along this route.
"If you wish to support from Queen’s Avenue, we ask for you to stand on the opposite side of the road to our fire station.
"Your presence will mean so much to us and Jennie’s family and friends."
Local road closures are set to be in place from 9.30am on the day.
