Police launch murder investigation after woman found dead near Helston

A murder investigation is underway following the discovery of a woman in her 80s found deceased at a property near Helston.

Emergency services responded to the incident in the Ashton area shortly after midnight on 29th May, and her next of kin have been informed.

A heightened police presence continues as officers conduct detailed inquiries at the scene.

Detective Inspector Pete Gee assured the community of ongoing efforts and said: “A police cordon has been established at the scene and enquiries are ongoing.”
