Sarah, Duchess of York, has been removed as a patron for a children's hospice.

Julia's House has distanced itself from the Duchess after it emerged she wrote a letter to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, apologising for publicly disowning him.

A Julia's House spokesperson said: "Following the information shared this weekend on the Duchess of York's correspondence with Jeffrey Epstein, Julia's House has taken the decision that it would be inappropriate for her to continue as a patron of the charity.

"We have advised the Duchess of York of this decision and thank her for her past support."

It's after reports of the Duchess writing a message to Epstein where she described him as her "supreme friend".

The charity provides support for "families caring for a child with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition".

It has a hospice in Devizes, Wiltshire and Corfe Mullen, Dorset.
