Repair teams work overnight as water supply disruption continues

Two burst water mains have disrupted supply to 10,000 homes in Essex and East London.
Footage reveals water erupting from the ground, resembling a fountain over sunken tarmac in Chigwell.
Thames Water say repair teams are working diligently through the night to rectify the disruption affecting several postcodes, including E10, E11, E17, E18, IG, and RM areas.
A spokesperson expressed regret over the interruption, acknowledging the inconvenience faced by residents.
The bottled water station at Roding Sports Centre will not re-open on Wednesday (12 August) but alternative bottled water stations will be announced before 9:00 am.
Local MP Wes Streeting has been closely involved, stating, - "My team and I have been in close contact with Thames Water regarding the water outages across Redbridge. I wanted to update everyone that we are urgently requesting Thames Water open up more water distribution points."
Additionally, Streeting addressed concerns about vulnerable residents missing vital water deliveries. - "We are escalating these incidents with Thames Water and if this is the case for you or someone you know locally, please contact my team and I," Streeting said.
