Body of a man found by rescue teams in the Lake District

He was pronounced dead after being discovered on Boxing Day

The body of a man has been found by mountain rescue teams in the Lake District.

They had been called out at around 3pm on Boxing Day when they found him unconscious at Grisedale Hause.

Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team had attempted to resuscitate the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The service says they had 13 team members working on the incident for four and half hours.

The man, who had been fell walking, was flown to Keswick MRT base by a Coastguard helicopter.
