Woman who died after Edinburgh disturbance named by police

A woman who died following a disturbance at a property in Edinburgh has been named as 44-year-old Vikki Soloman.

Emergency services were called to Craigievar Square at around 8.45pm on Monday.

Vikki was found with serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family has been informed.

A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.

Detective Inspector Mark McGraw said: "Our thoughts and condolences are with Vikki's family, who have requested privacy at this difficult time.

"A police presence will remain in the area while enquiries continue and to provide reassurance. Anyone with information or concerns can speak to our officers out on patrol or contact Police Scotland on 101."
