Two teenagers have been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a building in Edinburgh in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Emergency services were called to Crewe Road North at its junction with West Granton Road at around 2.35am after a black Fiat 500 struck a property.

An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were taken by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.

A road closure remains in place following the crash.

Police Scotland said the 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with a theft and enquiries are ongoing.

Road Policing officers are now appealing for witnesses.

Sergeant William Low said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.

"I would also ask anyone who was in the area and who may have seen the black Fiat 500 prior to the crash, or who has any dash-cam footage which could assist, to get in touch."

Anyone with information is being asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0301 of 11 June 2026.
