Police seize £640k cannabis haul in Alloa drug raid
Police in Alloa have uncovered a major cannabis cultivation worth an estimated £640,000 during a raid on a property in the town centre.
The discovery was made around 5.30pm on Tuesday when officers executed a search warrant at a premises on Church Street.
A large-scale growing operation was found inside. Enquiries remain ongoing.
Detective Inspector John Currie described the seizure as a significant step in disrupting the illegal drugs trade. “This recovery means a large quantity of drugs will not reach our streets,” he said.
“These operations not only fund organised crime but also pose a serious fire risk. We’re committed to targeting those responsible and dismantling drug networks.”
Police are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicions about drug activity or cannabis farms.
