Police officer injured after crash with car in Grangemouth

A police officer has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car and a marked police vehicle in Grangemouth.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 11am on Thursday following the collision at the junction of Glensburgh Road and Forth Clyde Way.

The road is currently closed at Dalgrain Road and Earlsgate roundabout while emergency crews deal with the incident.

Police say one officer was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while another was taken as a precaution.

No other injuries have been reported.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the area.
