Police hunt man with crouched walk after assault on pensioner in Edinburgh
The incident happened on Tuesday as the victim was walking along Broughton Road near Tesco
Police are appealing for information after a 76-year-old man was assaulted in broad daylight on a busy Edinburgh street.
The incident happened around 1.20pm on Tuesday as the man was walking along Broughton Road near Tesco.
The victim was approached by another man and assaulted. He did not require hospital treatment.
The suspect is described as bald, of slim build, between 60 and 75 years old, around 5ft 10in tall, and was wearing light-coloured clothing. He is also said to have a distinctive crouched walk.
Constable Nina Zielke, of Police Scotland, said: “The area was busy at the time and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us. I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time and who may have dash cam footage to get in touch.”
