Police hunt gang after string of early-morning break-ins across Forth Valley and Livingston

Police are appealing for information following a series of linked housebreakings in Forth Valley and Livingston in the early hours of Tuesday.

Around 2.25am, officers received a report of a break-in at a premises on Stirling Road in Tullibody. A short time later, another break-in was reported on Alloa Road in Causewayhead, Stirling.

At around 3am, a further incident was reported at Suilven Heights, Cotton Lane, in Laurieston. Police were then called to another break-in at Jackton Place in Livingston at around 4am.

Officers believe the incidents are connected. A white Skoda Octavia and four to five men dressed in black were seen at each location. The vehicle was last spotted in the Stenhouse area of Edinburgh.

Detective Sergeant Hannah Acheson said enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible. She urged anyone who was in the areas at the time and saw anything suspicious - or who may have seen the white Skoda Octavia - to contact police.

She also asked anyone with private CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage to review it and get in touch if it could assist the investigation.
