Police make another arrest in connection with gang violence in Central Scotland

A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with gang violence across the Central Belt of Scotland bringing the total number of arrests to 63.

He is the latest man to be charged in connection with Operation Portaledge.

He's been accused of three fireraisings on Niddrie Marischal Crescent, Pitcairn Grove and Prestonfield Crescent, all in Edinburgh, which happened on Thursday, 17 April, 2025.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court later.
