Woman injured after altercation between youths

The incident happened in Dalkeith over the weekend

An investigation is underway after a woman was assaulted in Dalkeith.

The 58-year-old sustained injuries after being pushed over while a group of youths argued in the Jarnac Court and High Street area around 8.50pm on Sunday 30 April.

Police said the person involved is a 16-year-old girl believed to be around 16-years old.

She is described as having a medium to heavier build and she was wearing a vest top with her hair tied up in a bun.

Detective Constable Gordon Wilson said: ā€œOur enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may be able to help to come forward.

ā€œWe would be keen to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard any disturbance in the area around that time.
