Motorbike rider dies in Fife crash
A 48 year old man died in the collision on Friday afternoon
A 48 year old man has died in a motorbike crash on the A911 in Fife on Friday afternoon.
The incident happened around 1pm on 22 May when a white Mercedes van and a BMW S1000 motorcycle crashed near the junction with the B9130 for Markinch.
The rider of the bike died at the scene, his family have been informed and there were no other reported injuries.
The road was closed for around 7 hours and reopened at 8.30pm.
Police Appeal
Police Scotland Road Policing Unit’s Sergeant Chris Anderson said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and anyone who can assist is asked to get in touch.
“If you were driving near the area at the time and have dash-cam that could assist then please make contact with officers.”
