West Lothian road closed after man is struck by car

It happened on Glasgow Road in Bathgate - drivers are being warned to avoid the area

UPDATE: The road has now reopened but police enquiries are ongoing

Part of a West Lothian road is closed off as police investigate a crash involving a car and pedestrian.

Around 4.50pm on Monday, 30 December, 2024, emergency services were called out to reports that a man had been struck by a car on Glasgow Road, Bathgate.

99\9 crews attended and the man was taken to hospital for treatment.

Glasgow Road is now closed at the junction of Mill Road and Menzies Road and at the junction of Bridgend Park.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
