A 35-year-old man has been jailed for four years following assaults and robberies in the Fife area.

Stephen Gray pled guilty to the offences at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on November 3 and was sentenced at the same court today.

In December 2023, Gray robbed and assaulted a taxi driver on Glamis Road in Kirkcaldy.

The following month, in January 2024, he assaulted a delivery driver and stole her vehicle on Lumphinnans Road in Lochgelly.

Detective Constable Douglas Potter said: “Gray’s abhorrent actions have caused significant distress to his victims, who were just going about their day and doing their jobs.

"He will now face the consequences of his violent actions and I hope this outcome provides some closure to the victims.

"We remain committed to thoroughly investigating violent crime and ensuring those responsible are held to account."
