Hearts have agreed terms with Kilmarnock for Derek McInnes to become their new manager.

The Rugby Park boss is now set to switch Ayrshire for Gorgie.

McInnes will replace Neil Critchley who was sacked by Tynecastle bosses last month.

Kilmarnock host Hearts on the final day of the Premiership season - and McInnes insists he will remain in charge of his current side until the end of the campaign.

He said: "Sometimes these things come along in life and I've always been open with the club.

"I'm really enjoying my time here and until such time something maybe makes you think twice about that and try something else, you just concentrate on the job at hand.

"I was informed yesterday the clubs had reached an agreement and talks are ongoing.

"I've also reiterated to the club today that I intend to be here for the last two games.

"I need to make sure that message is loud and clear".
