Fire breaks out at abandoned hospital building in Edinburgh

Crews are still at the scene of a fire in a derelict building on Edinburgh's Corstorphine.

A large plume of smoke has been billowing into the sky near the zoo.

Firefighters were called out at 07:40am on Wednesday.

Corstorphine Road, Old Kirk Road, Corstorphine Hill Crescent, Cairnmuir Road and Kaimes Road are all closed and St John's Road is down to one lane heading east.

Residents have been advised to keep their doors and windows shut.
