A teenager from Drumchapel is starting a petition to get a defibrillator installed at the station after bringing a young boy's pulse back at the weekend.

Jordan Kerr wasted no time in using his CPR skills when he heard a mother cry for help on the platform on Saturday afternoon.

Jordan learned CPR with the army cadets last year.

He said: "The woman was on the phone to the emergency services and so I started performing CPR on him.

"I was doing that for about 12 minutes while we waited on the ambulance.

I felt panicky because it was the first time I have performed CPR on an actual person, it was the longest 12 minutes of my life."

Jordan is part of the army cadets where he learned CPR over a number of weeks last year and the ambulance team is said to have been impressed by his skills.

He's now being put forward for a national award.

"I don't feel like I need special recognition because it just felt like a natural instinct."

His proud sister Nicola added: He has blossomed so much over the last two and a half years.

"I could cry with pride, the whole thing has blown my mind.

"I don't think I could have done the same as him and we can all take a leaf out of his book."
