Appeal to trace Edinburgh teenager missing for a week

Police are appealing for information to help trace a 15-year-old who has been missing in Edinburgh for a week.

Ahmad Bader was last seen at a premises on Gorgie Road at around 8.20pm on Wednesday, 11 March.

He is described as around 6ft tall, of medium build, with short black hair and brown eyes. When last seen, he was wearing a black jacket and trousers and was carrying a backpack.

Officers believe Ahmad may be in the south-west area of Edinburgh, but say he could also have travelled to Dundee or Dunfermline.

Inspector Quentin Russell said: “We are extremely concerned for Ahmad’s welfare and are looking to trace him to make sure he is safe.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who has seen him or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0726 of 11 March 2026.
