Love Island's Millie cools things off with Curtis after getting emotional over ex Liam

Love Island fans were left heartbroken last year when former winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon announced they'd split, after previously reconnecting. Despite many hoping of a potential reunion for the pair on the current series of All Stars, it appears Liam has now moved on with a new girlfriend.

Millie, who entered the All Stars villa on Day One, has been getting to know bombshell Curtis Pritchard in recent days, after brutally dumping Charlie Frederick last week. The pair have been having flirty chats, sharing a number of kisses, and even officially coupled up during the fourth recoupling.

However, things took a turn during the episode on Wednesday 28th January, when Millie confessed to Curtis that he makes her 'cringe' a little.

Deciding to cool things off with the ballroom dancer, Millie told him: “I just really want it to happen naturally. I do enjoy our conversations together and I feel comfortable around you, but I’m still figuring out whether we’re compatible.”

When Curtis asked if Millie was still heartbroken from her last relationship (with Liam), she confessed: “I know I don’t want to be with him. But I can’t sit here and say that….”

After breaking out into tears, Curtis proved he is the perfect gent by comforting Millie, telling her: “You’re better off crying, even if you’re crying about something I don’t want to hear about.”

Millie then said to him: “I’ve gone with things because I wanted to make you happy and I’m falling into my old ways.”

Reassuring her, Curtis then told her “Please do what’s best for you. Be selfish in here. Whether that hurts my feelings or not, be selfish. I am a big boy and I can take it.

“I still want to get to know you whether it’s just friendship level. I’ll give you space.”

Fans were quick to take to social media to praise Curtis for his response. Millie's BFF and KISS presenter Chloe Burrows said: 'Oh god im crying… what a gem Curtis is too'. (sic)

A fan wrote: 'Curtis was so lovely in this moment , massive respect 🫶', with another adding: 'Awww poor mils but how lovely is Curtis. Both so sweet.' (sic)

Others were supportive of Millie, with one writing: 'Millie still loves liam, 5 months after years of being together, its too soon. Let yourself heal 💗'. Another commented: 'millie go home sweetie and then come back when you're ready to date again'. (sic)

Later on in the episode, during a conversation with Jack Keating, Curtis got upset about the situation with Millie, leaving fans gutted for him.

When did Millie split with Liam?

Millie and Liam, who won Love Island back 2021, first split in July 2022, but the pair reconciled just months later. However, the pair then split again in September last year, with Millie revealing during her time on Love Island that their relationship was over way before they officially ended things.

Responding to a question during a game in the villa, Millie admitted: “I think it was over before it was actually over. Our relationship changed Christmas last year. Everyone’s got a different timeline of getting over someone, and I’m ready.”
