Benson Boone's breakthrough track 'Beautiful Things' took the world by storm when he released it in 2024, and in 2025 he went on a world tour including several UK dates. However, sadly he was forced to postpone his date in Birmingham (Saturday 1st November) after he fell ill.

Now, two months after his Birmingham date was postponed last minute, the singer has confirmed a new date for his fans, with all previous tickets still valid.

When will Benson Boone's Birmingham gig take place?

The singer confirmed on social media that he has rescheduled his postponed Birmingham gig. He will be performing on Sunday 15th March, at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham. He also shared a written statement with this fans saying: 'BIRMINGHAM!!!

'Thank you for your patience while we’ve tried to sort this show. Every option lead to cancelling but I didn’t want to except that, I’m very very excited to say we’re going to be able to come MARCH 15TH to Birmingham for our rescheduled show. I cannot wait to see you all, and this show will be worth it. Thank you for waiting for me, see you soon <3 B'. (sic)

Why did he cancel his gig in Birmingham?

Just an hour before the show was due to start, it was announced that Benson's gig had been postponed. A statement shared by the venue, Utilita Arena, said: 'We’re sorry to share that Benson Boone’s show tonight, Saturday 1st November, at Utilita Arena Birmingham has been cancelled due to artist illness.

'We’re working through all possible options to reschedule. Ticket holders will be contacted directly as soon as we have an update.

'We understand how disappointing this is and sincerely apologise for the extremely short notice and the inconvenience caused.

'We’re sending Benson our very best wishes for a speedy recovery. ❤️'

At the time, the venue shared a statement from Benson, which read: 'Birmingham I am so so sorry but I will not be able to perform tonight. I have tried everything I can to revive my voice, but I cannot give you the show I’d like to be able to give you with the condition of my throat right now.

'I am working with my team to find a date to reschedule as soon as possible. This is genuinely the crappiest feeling, I am so sorry. I promise you I will do everything in my power to make it up to you. I’ll update you guys as soon as I can. Thank you for everything you do.'

Special guest Brian May

Thankfully, Benson recovered and was able to continue with the UK leg of his tour, including three gigs in London at the O2 Arena. Even surprising fans on one night by bringing out Queen guitarist Brian May.

The singer performed two songs, Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and his hit 'Beautiful Things' with Brian, telling fans: "I think I forgot something... We didn't do a cover did we?"

He then proceeded to sing 'Bohemian Rhapsody', before Brian May appeared on stage to perform the guitar solo. Watch the moment below...

Benson previously appeared with Brian on stage at this year's Coachella where they also performed 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.

Benson's UK tour was part of a bigger European tour, which saw him performing in cities such as Amsterdam, Paris and Copenhagen.

Since releasing 'Beautiful Things' in 2024 which became a UK Number 1, Benson has released 'Slow It Down', 'Sorry I'm Here for Someone Else' and 'Mystical Magical', which have all been Top 20 hits in the UK. On the day he announced his UK album, he also dropped his song 'Momma Song'.
