WATCH: Ellen forgetting that Katy Perry was married to Russell Brand is pretty awkward

Katy Perry appeared on The Ellen Show this week to promote her upcoming album ‘Witness’. It was all going very well with Katy even saying that the American talk show host inspired her latest hair style.

However things quickly got pretty awkward between the pair when Ellen couldn’t remember Katy’s two year marriage to Russell Brand!

It happened before Katy was about to play ‘Will you Perry Me?’, a game Ellen had devised to try and find Katy a new boyfriend.

Katy joked “Do I have to get married? AGAIN”, to which a confused looking Ellen replied ‘you were not married’. Katy replied ‘I was when I was 25’, a still bewildered Ellen asked “to who?”, prompting Katy to say “his name was Russell Brand”, before adding “remember you gave me some wedding gifts on this show.”

‘Witness’ lands on 9th June, it will feature Katy’s current single ‘Bon Appétit’ and the massive ‘Chained To The Rhythm’.

This week Katy was spotted filming her Carpool Karaoke with James Corden in L.A. One lucky driver pulled up in the lane next to Katy and James as they belted out her hit ‘Dark Horse’.

The Late Late Show have announced Katy’s Carpool Karaoke will be airing on Monday 22nd May. 6 Days people!
