Ryan Thomas and Lucy Mecklenburgh expecting first child together
More happy news for the couple after their recent engagement!
Congratulations are in order for Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas who are expecting their first child together, just two months after getting engaged.
Lucy announced the exciting news on Instagram, sharing a sweet snap of her and Ryan holding up a baby grow while she cradled her baby bump. Alongside the photo, she wrote, 'Best birthday present I’ve ever had 👶🤰 love you @ryanthomas84 ❤️'. sic
The couple’s celebrity friends took to the comments to congratulate them, including Lydia Bright – who also recently revealed she’s pregnant. She wrote, 'Wohooooooooo, we can finally scream it from the roof tops. Can’t wait for our babies to be best friends ❤️'. sic
Another pregnant ex-TOWIE star, Chloe Lewis, added, 'Such amazing news! Baby Mumma Club @lydiabright @lucymeck1 can’t wait!!! 🦋'. sic

While this will be Lucy’s first child, Ryan shares a 10-year-old daughter, Scarlett, with his former Coronation Street co-star Tina O’Brien.
Lucy recently admitted that Ryan wasn’t open to having more children at the start of their relationship but eventually changed his mind. “At the start of our relationship, Ryan told me that he couldn’t see himself having any more children,” she told OK! magazine.
“It wasn’t something I pushed at the time because I wasn’t ready to have kids and I assumed that he would change his mind one day. “It’s something we’ve since had to have an adult conversation about and we’ve agreed we will try for children when the time is right."
Ryan added, “I definitely want children with Lucy but I don’t think it’ll happen for a few years.”
Lucy’s pregnancy comes two months after Ryan popped the question on a romantic getaway to the Italian resort of Positano.
She confirmed the happy news on Instagram, sharing a photo of her and Ryan with her engagement ring on full display alongside a caption which read: “I said YES 💍❤️ @ryanthomas84”'.
The couple have been together since 2017 after meeting while taking part in Channel 4 reality show Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls.
