Take That To Release Brand New Album 'III' This December!
Their first release since Jason Orange exited the group
Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen have announced the first Take That album as a trio ā the suitably titled āIIIā.
Set for release on Monday 1st December through Polydor Records, the 12-track album will be preceded by the brand new single āThese Daysā on 23rd November.
The album marks the first time Take That have written and recorded as a three. Work started at the start of 2014 with the blessing of Jason Orange who confirmed his departure on 24th September.
Gary Barlow said: āWeād been promising our fans for two years now āthis recordās comingā and we got to the beginning of the year and we said to Jason ālisten, weāve got to start this record.ā
āWe waited and waited until the last point, and weāre rushing everything now because we finally got a decision and we have to respect that. We want to move forward as a three right now.ā
Unlike previous albums that have seen a main producer take the helm, āIIIā sees Take That join forces with an eclectic array of studio wizards.
Collaborators include Greg Kurstin (Lana Del Rey āUltraviolenceā, Katy Perry āPrismā), John Shanks (Take That āBeautiful Worldā, āThe Circusā), Stuart Price (Take That āProgressā, Madonna āConfessions on a Dance Floorā) and Jeff Lynne (ELO, Paul McCartney āFlaming Pieā).
āIIIā is the follow-up to 2010ās āProgressā, which became the fastest selling album of the century and the second fastest selling album of all time - shifting more than 235,000 copies in just one day!
In their quarter of a century in the limelight, Take That have had eight number one albums, 15 number one single and sold over 30 million records.
The āIIIā track-listing is as follows:
