Rangers have completed the signing of Hannover winger Daisuke Yokota.

The Japanese attacker becomes the Ibrox side's ninth addition this summer.

Yokota comes in for an initial fee of around £2.75million and could still be added to their Europa League squad to face Jagiellonia on Thursday.

The 26-year old scored five goals and picked up four assists in the second division of Germany last term.

His loan deal at Hannover was made permanent this summer, but the club have flipped a quick profit on Yokota by selling him to Rangers.

Yokota moved from Japan to Europe at a young age and has gone on to play in Latvia, Poland and Belgium.
