Rangers set to sack manager Philippe Clement
Rangers are set to sack manager Philippe Clement.
The Belgian is expected to be relieved of his duties following Saturday's 2-0 defeat at home to St Mirren.
He leaves the club sitting 13 points behind Celtic in the Premiership having been knocked out of both domestic cup competitions.
It comes just days after CEO Patrick Stewart gave Clement his public backing.
The former Manchester United chief said the club would stick with their plan and not risk further progression in the Europa League by letting Clement go.
Pressure was building on Clement two weeks ago after a humiliating Scottish Cup exit at the hands of Queen's Park.
The 50-year old will now be shown the door with his team booed off at Ibrox again at the weekend.
Clement leaves with one League Cup trophy to his name in his 17 months in charge.
