PFA lower league Player of the Year nominees revealed

PFA Scotland have revealed the nominees for Player of the Year in the Championship, League One and League Two.

St Johnstone pair Josh McPake and Jamie Gullan have been voted into the shortlist for the second tier after clinching promotion this week.

Partick Thistle midfielder Ben Stanway and Dunfermline forward Andrew Tod also make the cut.

The nominees for the League One award come from four different teams.

Inverness midfielder Alfie Stewart, who is on loan from Aberdeen, is joined by Peterhead's Kieran Shanks.

Hamilton's Oli Shaw and Ross Taylor of Stenhousemuir have also been selected by their peers.

In League Two top goal scorers John Robertson of East Kilbride and Mark Stowe of the Spartans are in for the award.

Lewis Reid of Stranraer and Annan Athletic player-manager Wullie Gibson have also been nominated.

The winners will be announced on Sunday 3rd May at the PFA ceremony.
