Kawasaki Frontale confirm Shin Yamada exit ahead of Celtic move

Shin Yamada appears to be on his way to Celtic after Kawasaki Frontale announced his departure.

The J-League side revealed that the 25-year-old is leaving to join an overseas club, without naming the Scottish champions, who have been linked with the Japanese forward.

Yamada will say goodbye to Kawasaki Frontale fans after their cup match against SC Sagamihara on Wednesday.

A statement on the Japanese club's website read: "We would like to inform you that Shin Yamada will be leaving the team at the end of today's (July 16th) activity in order to complete the necessary procedures to enable him to transfer to a club overseas.

"We will notify you further regarding future plans as soon as they are officially decided.

"In addition, after the Emperor's Cup third-round match against SC Sagamihara, which is being held today (July 16th), Shin Yamada will give a speech to the supporters."
